This is a continuation of Paula’s Fall Introductory
Class. It is open to all who have taken Paula’s class or
participated in our Art Quilt Theory series. We also
welcome any new art quilters who have some working
knowledge of the genre, and wish to explore artistic
possibilities. This class offers actual hands-on
exploration with constructive critiques. It is so much
more than a “show and tell” challenge! Come join us and
share your creative journey while learning new
techniques and honing your skills.

There truly is an art to achieving tiny, even
stitches. Hand quilting projects travel easily so
you can relax on the shore or in front of the
fireplace. Proper technique is essential! Have a

ROTARY CUTTING BASICS:
Streamline and simplify your quilt making. Master
rotary cutting techniques to enhance accuracy and
productivity in the piecing process. Learn to
properly fold and stack fabric for use with a
variety of rulers.

proper piecing technique and attain perfect points,
accurate quarter inch seams, and a way to deal with
those frustrating bias edges. Accuracy and precision

final step in your project deserves as much
attention as the first.
Learn how to measure
for and apply borders then finish your quilt with

the Basilica of Saint Mark in Venice. The wedge
foundations make this complex looking design easy to

New Session of Cindy’s New York Beauty Block of The
Month Begins in Dec. 2008
Cindy has a busy
schedule this year, but has agreed to begin a new NY
Beauty BOM in December for those on our wait lists. You
need to register quickly to get in these groups as our
wait list has priority and only a few spaces will be
open! The evening group is scheduled to begin on
DEC 5 at 7:00-9:30 pm.
The daytime session begins on
DEC 4 at 1-3:30.
The blocks are from Karen Stone’s “Cinco De Mayo” quilt
and constructing it one block at a time makes this
rather intimidating project quite manageable. Each month
you will work on construction and color placement for a
new block. You can decide as you progress whether to
make two additional blocks each month or complete your
quilt with just 12 blocks.
Remember: Those already on the wait list have priority,
so register early!
